    Who This Assessment Is For

This is designed for candidates who want to know if they’re competitive for Express Entry, and what to do next to maximize their CRS and improve their odds of receiving an ITA.

    High CRS Profiles
Strong English results (often CLB 8+), higher education (especially Bachelor’s degree or higher), and skilled work experience.
    Young Professionals
Often strongest under age 28, especially with Canadian + foreign experience and strong language scores.
    Bilingual Candidates
English + French can increase CRS and may improve alignment with category-based selection when applicable.

    Category-Based Selection (Current Focus Areas)

IRCC may hold category-based rounds to invite candidates who meet certain occupation or language categories. Categories can change over time, so we assess both your CRS and whether you match current categories.

    French-language proficiency
    Healthcare and social services occupations
    STEM occupations
    Trade occupations
    Agriculture and agri-food occupations
    Education occupations

    Common Questions

What makes someone “competitive” for Express Entry?
Strong language results (often CLB 8+), higher education (especially a Bachelor’s degree or higher, with strongest outcomes at the graduate level), skilled work experience, and younger age often create higher CRS. Your exact score depends on your full profile.
Does having both Canadian and foreign work experience help?
Often yes. Combined experience can add CRS points and strengthen your overall profile, depending on program eligibility and how your experience is documented.
Can French help even if I’m not applying under a Francophone pathway?
Yes. French can add CRS points and may help align with category-based selection depending on IRCC’s current focus.
    Are category-based draws guaranteed?
No. IRCC can change categories, pause them, or focus on different groups. That’s why we review both CRS strength and category alignment, and we build a strategy that doesn’t rely on one draw type.
