On March 28, 2018 the Quebec Government announced new regulations related to the Quebec’s immigration programs, including the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP). Some of the changes to the QIIP included the following:
- Candidates must have net assets of at least CAD $2,000,000 (previously this amount was $1,600,000);
- The required investment amount has increased to CAD $1,200,000 (previously this amount was $800,000).
- Quebec’s Immigration Ministry, the Ministère de l’Immigration, et de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion (MIDI), has also stated their intention to create its own version of Express Entry to that of the Federal Express Entry Program.
Some of the proposed changes are set to begin in August 2018. Until such time, Quebec Immigration will not be accepting any new applications. To apply for permanent residency or to sponsor a family member contact us at 1-800-556-4581 or visit us at www.crightneyimmigration.com
